Music Teacher - Guitar Teacher
THE MUSIC ROOM COVENTRY is looking for passionate and hardworking applicants to join our school. We pride ourselves in offering our customers teachers that are active musicians making a career from music, or those working towards qualifications in music.
Job Role:
Guitar Teacher
Job Type: Freelance/ self-employed
Start Date: June/July 2022
Description: Working at our teaching studio in Coventry, you will provide 1-2-1 guitar tuition for students THE MUSIC ROOM COVENTRY will supply for you. Teaching hours are flexible between 3:30pm-9pm, Monday-Thursday. There is also the potential for daytime schools work.
Job Requirements:

Demonstrating and teaching a variety of genres and styles to students.
-
To be confident in helping students develop the fundamentals of their instrument’s techniques, music theory, sight-reading, dynamics, tone, ear-training and rhythm.

Ready to adapt to each student they teach and tailor the lessons to their needs/desires.

Primarily specialising in teaching electric guitar. If the applicant specialises in acoustic guitar, classical guitar, ukulele or other instruments in the string family we will be able to offer them more work.
Desired Skills:
-
Understanding of basic music theory up to a universal grade 5 standard.
-
Song-writing knowledge.
-
Basic recording knowledge, DAW’s, Microphones, etc..

Knowledge of other instruments.
Desired Experience:
-
2 Years experience teaching guitar and music, either privately or other settings.

Relevant BA hons degree within music.

Grade 8 in guitar, curriculum non specific
-
Working with ages 6+
-
Experience/ active work in live music/ gigging.
Salary:
Salary rates are offered after interviewing process depending on the applicant's experience. Typically between £15 - £20 per hour.
